HURR
HURR was the first rental service I ever came across and was fundamental in getting me obsessed with all things circular fashion. So it really was a full-circle moment (excuse the pun) when I started interning there in Summer 2022.
Being the largest business I had ever worked for meant that I was able to experience life in a number of key teams, namely Product, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Success.
In Product, I analysed the status of current employee-facing software and spoke to key stakeholders to discover how to improve the platform. I then mapped out a new and improved version which streamlined all actions, doing so using Whimsical, Linear, and Github. I presented my work to the leadership team, and I’m so excited to say that my work is now in coding production!
In Operations and Customer Success, I got down to the nitty-gritty of what it means to run a fashion rental company - the management of thousands of pieces of stock, processing orders, and ensuring our customers received the best possible service.
In Marketing, I focussed primarily on content production - from assisting on shoots to creating videos for TikTok that would speak to and engage our audience.
I was also lucky enough to conduct my own research project on Storytelling and Sustainability, which I presented to the entire company at the end of the internship.
